Chief Engineer at Söderenergi

ABOUT THE POSITION

Söderenergi is owned by three municipalities and production takes place in three main facilities: Igelsta combined heat and power plant, which is Sweden's second largest biofuel-fired combined heat and power plant, Igelsta heating plant, and Fittja plant. They are large enough to offer development opportunities and small enough to create a family atmosphere. Söderenergi is looking for development-oriented people with diverse skills, insights, and backgrounds, especially individuals with technical abilities and the courage to demand from their surroundings in accordance with the company's values.

In the role of chief engineer, you will conduct rounds within Söderenergi's facilities and contribute to ensuring that operator maintenance is carried out as specified and be responsible for ensuring that production facilities operate optimally without compromising safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct inspections to minimize operational disruptions at both Igelsta heating plant and Igelsta combined heat and power plant.
  • Ensure that ongoing operation and maintenance work within, among others, boiler and pump houses, turbines, flue gas cleaning plants, water treatment, as well as fuel and ash handling at Söderenergi's production facilities is performed correctly.
  • Actively troubleshoot and functionally check the equipment to create targeted maintenance efforts from other departments.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has an energy/marine engineering education or a technical education as an operations technician in energy/heat/maintenance.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Has good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have work experience in the energy sector or process industry, where you have worked with control and monitoring of production facilities.
  • Have experience with control systems ABB 800XA, Siemens C3000 or equivalent.
  • Are a certified boiler operator.
